Ignite Pathways · Leaders in Training
Terms of Service
Effective August 25, 2026 · Last updated August 25, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Ignite Pathways, the platform operated by Leaders in Training, a Nevada 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation ("LIT," "we," "us").
1Agreement
By signing in, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform — tell your program advisor and we will find another way to work with you.
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf when they consent to your enrollment.
2Who may use Ignite Pathways
Ignite Pathways is private. Accounts are created by LIT staff for:
- students enrolled in an LIT program;
- parents and guardians of enrolled students;
- LIT staff and advisors.
You may not create an account for yourself, share your account, or let anyone else use it. There is no public sign-up and no anonymous access.
3Your account
- Keep your password private. Do not share it, including with other students or family members.
- Each person gets their own account. A family account belongs to the guardian named on it.
- Tell us immediately if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, unless someone accessed it without your knowledge and you told us promptly.
4Using it properly
When you use Ignite Pathways, you agree to:
- give accurate information and keep it current;
- use it only for taking part in or running the LIT program;
- respect other people's privacy;
- follow instructions from LIT staff about how it is used.
Things you must not do
- Try to reach records you are not meant to see, or test the security of the platform.
- Share what you see about another student or family with anyone outside LIT.
- Take screenshots or copies of another person's record and pass them on.
- Upload anything harmful, illegal, harassing, or that you do not have the right to share.
- Impersonate anyone.
- Use automated tools to copy information from the platform.
- Interfere with how the platform works for anyone else.
Information about other people is confidential. If you see something about another student or family, keep it to yourself. Sharing it is a serious matter and may end your access and, for staff, your role.
5What you upload
You keep ownership of anything you upload. By uploading it, you give LIT permission to store it and use it for running the program — nothing more. We will not publish it, share it outside LIT except as described in the Privacy Policy, or use it in fundraising or marketing without asking you separately.
Only upload what is asked for. Do not upload other people's documents, and do not upload sensitive information the program does not need — for example, financial account numbers or medical records we have not requested.
We may remove anything that breaks these Terms, and will tell you when we do.
6Accuracy of records
We work to keep records accurate, but mistakes happen. If something about you or your student is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Records in Ignite Pathways are for running our program and are not certified documents — do not rely on them as an official school record, transcript, or legal proof of anything.
7Program participation is separate
These Terms cover the software. Taking part in LIT's program is governed by your enrollment agreement and our program policies. Losing platform access does not by itself end program participation, and leaving the program does not by itself delete your records — the Privacy Policy explains what we keep.
8Availability
We aim to keep Ignite Pathways running and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not promise it will always be available or error-free. It may be unavailable for maintenance, technical problems, or reasons outside our control. If it is down when you need it, tell your program advisor and we will help another way.
9Changing or ending access
We may suspend or end an account if these Terms are broken, if there is a security concern, if you leave the program, or if a staff member's role ends. Where we can, we will tell you first and explain why.
You may ask us to close your account at any time by contacting your program advisor. Closing an account does not delete the underlying program records — see the Privacy Policy for how to request that.
We may add, change, or remove features. We will not remove something you depend on without notice.
10Who owns what
- Your information belongs to you. You may request a copy at any time.
- Program records belong to LIT as the organization operating the program, and are held under the Privacy Policy.
- The platform itself — the software, design, and the Ignite Pathways name — belongs to Leaders in Training. You may use it, but not copy, modify, or reuse it elsewhere.
11Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these Terms. Please read it.
12If you are a staff member or advisor
Additional obligations apply to you:
- Use student information only to do your job.
- Do not discuss a student's record with anyone who does not need to know.
- Do not copy student information into personal email, personal devices, or personal cloud storage.
- Do not take student data with you when you leave.
- Report anything that looks like a privacy or security problem immediately.
- Follow LIT's mandatory reporting obligations. If you learn something suggesting a child is at risk of harm, act on it as required by law — the platform does not change that duty.
13Other services
Ignite Pathways runs on services provided by other companies, including hosting and email delivery. We choose them carefully and require them to protect information, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their own acts. Where the platform links to another website, we are not responsible for that site.
14No warranty
Ignite Pathways is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of every security risk, and we do not guarantee that every record is complete or accurate. To the fullest extent Nevada law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
15Limits on liability
To the fullest extent Nevada law allows, LIT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ignite Pathways, including lost data or lost opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or a failure to meet our obligations to protect information about minors.
16Indemnification
If you break these Terms and that causes a claim against LIT, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result. This applies only to your own violation — misusing your account, sharing another person's information, or uploading something you had no right to upload. It does not make you responsible for anything else.
17Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction.
Before starting any legal action, please contact us. Most problems can be resolved by talking, and we would much rather do that.
18Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the change. If you do not, tell your program advisor.
19General
- If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- Not enforcing something once does not waive it.
- These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and your enrollment agreement, are the whole agreement about the platform.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else.
